Whether you’re hosting virtual meetings, chatting with colleagues, or making phone calls, Zoom One streamlines communication across devices, making collaboration easier and more efficient.

At San Diego State University, we are embarking on an exciting journey to modernize our communication infrastructure. Our current telephone system, which has served us faithfully for over 25 years, is nearing the end of its life. In response, we are transitioning to a more dynamic and flexible solution: Zoom Phone.

Zoom One Transition Timeline

• May 2024

  
  SDSU Team will secure Zoom One contract and Zoom One Tiger team will establish communication, deployment and financial strategies.

• July–August 2024

  
  Zoom One Transition Project Team will meet with stakeholders to discuss the Zoom Phone transition and begin Classroom Zoom Phone Migration.

• August–December 2024

  
  Duress Zoom Phone Migration as well as User Zoom Phone Migrations begin.

• September 2024–June 2025

  
  All Migrations will be successfully transitioned to Zoom Phone. Ongoing Zoom Phone training and support for all users begins.

• July 2025

  
  SDSU will have completed all aspects of the Zoom Phone transition.
